The sun’s
not up yet,
So why am I?
Here I am
out and about,
While
sleeping dogs still lie.
I see the
tired faces,
Of the
people who pass me by,
Sipping
coffee from their thermal cups,
Wishing they
were the sleeping dogs that still lie.
Through the
deserted mall,
Voices echo
from up high,
The working
day has begun,
As sleeping
dogs still lie.
So here am
I,
One of the
early birds that fly,
Out catching
this worm called life,
While the
sleeping dogs still lie.
